President of Kyrgyzstan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country Sadyr Zhaparov opened the base of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Speaking to the border guards, the head of state once again noted that peace and stability in the country begin at the border.

“That is why ensuring the security of the borders of Kyrgyzstan is considered one of the priorities of the state. In the future, work will also be continued to improve the conditions for the life of border guards,” the president said.

He recalled that last year, for the first time, drones were purchased for the Border Service at the expense of the republican budget.

Speaking about the opening of the base, Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that it performs the main tasks of air defense of the ground forces and military units of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic to protect our borders.

The head of state expressed hope that the operational capabilities of the equipment purchased to strengthen the material base in ensuring border security would be used only in exercises aimed at protecting the sovereignty of our country.

“I have always said that Kyrgyzstan is a peaceful country. I emphasize that our efforts to strengthen our Armed Forces are focused only on defense,” he said.

The president congratulated the servicemen on the opening of the base, noting that they worthily continue the traditions in the field of protecting the state border and will serve the Motherland with a high sense of responsibility and patriotism.

“Our border is in safe hands. I think that the trust and hope of our people will give you inspiration and strength to achieve great success in the future,” he said.

It should be noted that the Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles are piloted by officers of the Border Guard Service who have undergone appropriate training. This is the first cohort of officers – border guards who protect the state border in the sky.
