Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited to the Turksib district during the working visit


Today, the governor of the city of Almaty, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, went to the Turksib district. The governor’s focus was on the construction of social facilities and housing in the Zhas Kanat neighborhood, as well as the implementation of the program for the demolition of dilapidated housing.

As part of inspecting the development of the Zhas Kanat microdistrict, B. Sagintayev instructed the relevant departments to strengthen control over construction companies regarding the use of domestically produced materials.

Also, the district executive committee was entrusted with landscaping along st. B. Khmelnitsky, to work out the issue of splitting the square and additional landscaping in the Zhas Kanat microdistrict, as well as with the Office of Urban Mobility to solve the issue of building an access road from st. Baimagambetov to new residential buildings.

In the Zhas Kanat microdistrict, seven apartment buildings are being built under the Nurly Zher program and a kindergarten for 280 children. Completion of facilities is scheduled for September this year.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with residents of the Turksib district, hearing complaints and suggestions in the field of housing and public utilities, improvement of courtyards and public safety. As of today, 16 dilapidated houses have been demolished in Turksib district and in their place 39 houses for 803 apartments have been built. As part of the further implementation of the program, another 28 houses were identified, 147 yards were overhauled, 15 streets were repaired and 8 km of sidewalks were built, 2.6 km of an irrigation network (2 streets) and 7.8 km of current repairs were built.
