Bakytzhan Sagintayev meets with representatives of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan
Today in Ukimet Uyi, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with representatives of the National Public Association Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan headed by Chairman Ulybek Yesdaulet.
The discussion covered current issues and new creative projects of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan.
The Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan is a non-governmental organization uniting more than 750 Kazakhstani professional writers.
The Writers’ Union has creative subdivisions for Kazakh, Russian, Uighur (since 1932), German and Korean (since 1977) literature.
It has 5 interregional branches in Astana, Shymkent, Karaganda, Semipalatinsk, and Uralsk.
