Bakytzhan Sagintayev meets with Minister of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands H. Kamp

Today at Ukimet Uyi, within the framework of the 30th plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting with Minister of Economic Affairs of the Netherlands Henk Kamp on the development of further bilateral economic cooperation.

The meeting discussed issues of implementing joint investment projects in Kazakhstan in the energy, petrochemical, space and cultural-humanitarian spheres. The parties also expressed interest in cooperation in the field of agriculture. Particular attention was paid to cooperation at the level of research centers of the two countries.

The Kingdom of the Netherlands is by far the largest investor in Kazakhstan’s the economy and a major trading partner of our country among the EU countries.

Turnover according to the results of 2016 amounted to 3.538 billion USD. The gross inflow of direct investments from the Netherlands to Kazakhstan in 2005-2016 amounted to 71.6 billion USD. In January-March 2017 – 1.085 billion USD.
