During the Government meeting Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted the need to build new healthcare facilities and continue the digitalization of the entire industry.
Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that over a thousand healthcare facilities have been built in Kazakhstan over the past 10 years. However, presently there is still a need for new facilities, specifically around a thousand more.
In connection with the limited budgetary resources of Akimats, it is necessary to use PPP mechanisms more actively. In addition, the Ministries of National Economy, Healthcare were instructed to review the existing requirements for constructing healthcare facilities within regulatory, legal and technical acts.
Also, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev drew attention to the low level of digitalization of the entire industry.
“In this matter, there are even not enough computers for doctors. Local executive bodies should intensify work in this direction. I instruct the Ministries of Healthcare, Information and Communication, together with the Akimats, to work through this issue and submit relevant proposals by the end of March, B. Sagintayev said.
