Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructs to take all necessary measures to prevent emergencies due to floods
During the Government meeting, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructed regional Akimats and responsible state bodies to keep the flood situation under special control.
Before proceeding to discussing the main agenda, the Prime Minister heard reports of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Akims of Akmola, Karaganda, North Kazakhstan, Kostanay and Pavlodar regions on the current flood situation, as well as measures to prevent emergencies.
Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that currently there is active melting of snow in the northern and central regions of the Republic, due to which there is a sharp increase in water in the reservoirs, as well as flooding of settlements and roads.
In this regard, the Akimats and responsible state bodies were instructed to take all necessary measures to prevent emergencies and keep these issues under special control. Coordination in this direction was tasked to First Deputy Prime Minister Askar Mamin.
