Bakytzhan Sagintayev inspects the construction of housing, social and cultural facilities, and infrastructure expansion in Petropavlovsk
As part of his working visit to North Kazakhstan region, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev inspected the construction of housing, social, cultural and sports facilities, and expansion of infrastructure and utilities in Petropavlovsk.
During the visit to the Sports Palace, Akim of the region K. Aksakalov reported to Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev on the reconstruction of Zhambyl Street leading to the Sports Palace within the framework of the public-private partnership, the construction of the Schoolchildren’s Palace and the Tennis Center using PPP mechanisms.
In total, in 2017 it is planned to hand over more than 1000 apartments in Petropavlovsk. The “Zhas Orken” microdistrict is defined as the main construction site, where about 500 facilities will be demolished – dilapidated apartment buildings and other structures. 11 multi-apartment houses for 2500 apartments, the Palace of schoolchildren and the Tennis Center will be built on this site within two years.
Large-scale work is ahead on expanding the airport apron, capital repair of roads, reconstruction of the street lighting network. Over two years, 28 streets and 400 yard territories will be repaired.
In addition, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev familiarized himself with the construction projects in the regional center of social and cultural facilities, hotels, leisure and entertainment centers and cultural and recreational facilities with shopping centers.
