Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting on regional development
Today in Ukimet Uyi, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a working meeting on in issues of achieving the target indicators for 2018 with regards to the regions’ economic development.
In the course of the meeting, Akim of Astana A. Issekeshev, Akim of Akmola region M. Murzalin and Akim of North Kazakhstan region K. Aksakalov reported on the work done in the first quarter of this year and plans for 2018 for the development of economic sectors, industrialization, technological upgrading and digitalization, investment attraction and productive employment.
With regards to the development of the capital, the focus is on tourism, trade, mass entrepreneurship, attracting investment and productive employment, including the modernization of labor market infrastructure and labor mobility.
The areas of work of the regions involve the development of agribusiness, tourism, healthcare, education, mass entrepreneurship, as well as industrialization, productive employment, financial sustainability, technological upgrading and digitalization of the economy.
The discussions saw participation of Ministers of National Economy T. Suleimenov, Finance � B. Sultanov, Healthcare � Y. Birtanov, Culture and Sport � A. Mukhamediuly, Labor and Social Protection of Population � M. Abylkassymova, First Deputy Minister of Investments and Development R. Sklyar and Deputy Minister of Agriculture G. Issayeva.
