Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting on implementation of the Head of State’s instructions

At the meeting, there was a comprehensive constructive discussion and analysis of the work of central and local state bodies, a quasi-public sector on the execution of President’sinstructions. The reports of the deputy prime ministers, ministers and akims of the regions were heard.


Speaking on the economic and social issues, Deputy Prime Minister Erbolat Dossaev reported on the implementation of the President’s instructions to ensure economic growth of at least 4%, the development of industries, construction, exports, and the implementation of major investment projects. Measures taken to improve the quality of education further, provide medical services, productive employment, reduce the share of state participation in the economy and privatization, and reduce administrative barriers for the development of entrepreneurship were considered.

In the report of Deputy Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev, the issues of agro-industrial complex, land relations, productive employment of the population in the countryside, water supply were voiced. In particular, the situation on the analysis of the available land fund for 2018, the production, processing and export of cattle meat, the development of agricultural cooperatives was discussed

Deputy Prime Minister Askar Zhumagaliyev in his report presented the current situation and ways of solving urgent issues on digitalization of the economy and automation of public services.

Summing up the meeting, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave specific instructions to ministers and akims to increase labor productivity in the manufacturing sector, conduct a detailed analysis of all state support measures in the framework of industrialization, implement investment projects, the initiative “National Champions” with the focus on the creation of competence centers for the transfer of know-how.

A number of instructions were given on the activation of the privatization process, including by reducing the number of subordinate organizations of state bodies, timely development of funds allocated for microcrediting and construction of rental and credit housing.

Particular attention was paid to the adoption of specific systemic measures to improve the quality of training in schools, colleges and universities, the construction of dormitories for students, reducing the number of emergency and three-shift schools.

The first leaders were instructed to keep the progress of execution of the President’s instructions on personal control and ensure their timely implementation.
