Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting of the Economic Expert Council


A regular meeting of the Economic Expert Council took place today in Ukimet Uyi with the participation of Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

The discussion covered the development of a new Concept of industrial-innovative development of the country for 2020-2024, taking into account the tasks set by the Head of the State in the Address Growing Welfare of Kazakh Citizens: Increase in Income and Quality of Life. Export-oriented industrialization is defined as the central element of the country’s future economic policy. At the same time, special emphasis should be placed on supporting exporters in the manufacturing sector.

The Head of the Astana International Scientific Complex A. Buranbayev delivered a draft of new approaches to the development of the economy in this sector. An analysis of the current situation conducted by experts showed that systemic support for manufacturers should be provided in a coordinated and comprehensive manner.

The discussion of the project was attended by the Minister of Investments and Development Zh. Kassymbek, Advisor to the Director General of the Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas Z. Kulekeyev, Chairman of the Board of NCE Atameken A. Myrzakhmetov, Director of the Public Fund Center for Economic Analysis Rakurs O. Zhandosov, Director of Oil Gas Project LLP Zh. Akhmetov, Director of the Public Foundation Center for Analysis of Social Problems M. Makhmutova and others.
