Bakytzhan Sagintayev discusses socio-economic development of the East Kazakhstan region with the public

Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, as part of his working trip to the East Kazakhstan region, held a meeting with the public of the City of Semey, where he discussed topical issues of social and economic development of the region.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev explained the essence of the ongoing constitutional reform and told about the Government’s work on implementing the Presidential Address ” Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global competitiveness”.

The Prime Minister noted that in order to create a new model of economic growth, the Government will focus on 5 key priorities: development of mass entrepreneurship, raising productive employment, technological renewal and digitalization of the economy, ensuring financial sustainability, and implementing sectoral programs.

Participants discussed topical issues of the region and submitted proposals for the further socio-economic development of the East Kazakhstan region.

The meeting raised the issues of housing construction, agricultural development, state support for healthcare, development of vocational education and the introduction of a trilingual education system.

In general, the city’s public expressed support for the ongoing constitutional reform and the tasks outlined in the Presidential Address.

The meeting was addressed by the city Akim Ermak Salimov, chairman of the city veterans’ council Amantay Dogalakov, Director of LLP Sat trans Nurlan Baybekov, Principal of the Electrotechnical College Azat Sarpekov, English language teacher at lyceum ?7 Marina Ustyuzhaninova, Vice-President of the international community Kazakh Tili Oral Sharipbayev, members of the city veterans’ council Nasen Sembayev, Duysen Sultanov.

Following the meeting, Prime Minister B. Sagintayev gave a number of specific instructions to the city’s and regional administration on further social and economic development of the region.
