Bakytzhan Sagintayev discusses improvement of business climate in Kazakhstan with members of Foreign Investors’ Association
At the meeting, issues of increasing investment attractiveness, improving the business climate and the tax policy of the country were discussed. In particular, the proposals of Association’s members regarding the responsibility of foreign investors for violations of tax legislation were considered.
The agenda was discussed by chairman of the Council’s Board, director, Head of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Kazakhstan A. Preimanis, co-chairman of the council’s working group on the implementation of the investment policy from the foreign side, managing partner for Kazakhstan and Central Asia of the company EY E. Dosymbekov, Executive Vice President of ENI for the Central Asian Region L. Vinyati, Director of the representative office of the Chinese National Oil and Gas Corporation in Astana L. Youngkhong, Head of the Tax and Legal Services Department of PwC Kazakhstan M. Ahern, Director for External Relations and Cooperation with State Bodies at Shell Kazakhstan Z. Bakenova.
Recall, the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors Council Association was established on the initiative of foreign countries under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan as the official Secretariat and coordinator of the Council’s activities from a foreign side. The Association provides permanent organizational, coordination, information and technical support to foreign members of the Council. On behalf of its members, it also works to establish partnerships with the participation of the Government of Kazakhstan, state structures, foreign companies, the diplomatic corps, business associations, etc.
