Bakytzhan Sagintayev discusses implementation of President’s Five Social Initiatives with students of Atyrau region

During the meeting, a discussion took place on topical issues of youth and social policy. Bakytzhan Sagintayev emphasized the importance of training and retraining personnel for the future professions, expanding grants for technical specialties, training necessary skills, taking into account changes in the labor market and widespread digitalization and automation. The issues of providing dormitories were also touched upon.

The Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that within the framework of the President’s Five Social Initiatives, the Government has adopted a road map. It will solve the problems of providing students with dormitories, the issues of preparing experts of technical specialities in demand today. The first results of the implementation of the road map will already be seen the second half of 2018.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev emphasized the importance of training specialists for fulfilling the tasks of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In this regard, 20 colleges will be selected throughout Kazakhstan, the work have already started in two of them. At the same time, emphasis will be placed on the training of engineering personnel, including in the field of information and digital technologies.

Along with this, in order to solve the problems of providing students with housing during their studies, the Head of State instructed to build dormitories until 2022 with the addition of 75 thousand places. Before the meeting the Prime Minister got acquainted with the progress of the construction of one of the dormitories.

In the course of the discussion, the Minister of Education and Science, Y. Sagadiyev, reported on the ongoing work on increasing the accessibility of education and providing dormitories. The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, M. Abylkassymova, told about the modernization of labor market infrastructure and training of technical specialists. Akim of Atyrau region, N.Nogayev, reported on the work being done in the region to implement the Five Initiatives of the Head of State.

At the meeting, the student of the Agrarian University, B. Zhumabay, the third year student of the Atyrau University of Oil and Gas, S. Bazarbek, the student of the Atyrau Polytechnic College, B. Serikkaliyev, told about the readiness to work in new technological processes, touched upon the issues of employment, housing provision within the Serpin project, on the Worldskills International movement for training personnel for the new economy.

Director of the Atyrau Polytechnic College, B. Sherkeshbayeva, spoke about the implementation of social initiatives in the college.

Following the discussion, Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave specific instructions to the responsible ministries and akimat of the region.
