Bakytzhan Sagintayev considers issues on flood prevention in the North Kazakhstan region


At the meeting with residents of Zarechny village in North Kazakhstan region, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, together with local executive and responsible state bodies, discussed measures necessary to prevent flood hazards in the region.

On behalf of President N. Nazarbayev, the Government is working to prevent and protect against flooding of settlements.

The Prime Minister heard reports of Akim of North Kazakhstan region K. Aksakalov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yu. Ilyin, Chairman of the Water Resources Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture I. Abishev.

The meeting was addressed by Akim of Petropavlovsk M. Tasmaganbetov, Akims of Kyzylzharsky and G. Musrepov districts B. Zhumabekov and V. Dudov, as well as residents of the village Zarechny and the regional center I. Bryukhova and K. Kurumbayev.

The consideration of this issue resulted in the development of specific measures to prevent and protect against flood hazards. In the region, the fencing dam in Kozhevenny village in Petropavlovsk will be reconstructed. In addition, the dams of storage ponds “Gorkoe Lake” and “Bioprud” will be repaired, the channels of the Yesil, Seleta, and Kamyshlovsky Logs will be cleared.
