Bakhyt Sultanov congratulated the veteran on his 100th birthday


The mayor of the capital congratulated war veteran Alexander Petrovich Torkin on his 100th birthday and on the upcoming Victory Day. Currently, 71 participants of the Great Patriotic War will live in Nur-Sultan, not one of them will be left without attention, the akimat’s official website reports. Bakhyt Sultanov congratulated Alexander Petrovich Torkin. Today the veteran is 100 years old. Akim thanked Alexander Petrovich for the feat he had shown during the war years, wishing him well-being and good health.

Firstly, this day is very memorable. This is a big deal! I am happy that there are such great holidays as Victory Day. I wish all Kazakhstanis a peaceful sky and well-being in their families! The veteran said. Alexander Petrovich Torkin was born on April 29, 1919 in the village of Vladykino, Kamensky District, Penza Region, in a large working family. Up to the age of 20, he managed to get two special education, work as a teacher.

From 1939 to August 1945 – in the ranks of the Armed Forces. In 1941�1945, he fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, having traveled from Moscow to Koenigsberg. After demobilization, Alexander Petrovich was actively involved in the work. Without a job, he received a higher education and more than 17 years worked in senior positions at various departments. From September 1945 – in the Ministry of Justice of the Kazakh SSR in various senior positions, and in 1956�1962 – Chairman of the Akmola Regional Court, for 20 years as deputy manager of the Tselinelectrosetstroy trust. He raised two sons and a daughter, a veteran – seventeen grandchildren, great-grandchildren. Awards: Order “Red Star”, Order of the Patriotic War, I and II degree, medals “For the Defense of Moscow”, “For Courage”, “For the Liberation of Poland”, “For the capture of Koenigsberg”, badges of the Ministry of Justice of the Kazakh SSR.
