Baiterek: EXPO facilities completed by 90%, jobs provided to 3700 people

JSC NMH Baiterek. October 20. Baiterek Holding has completed 90 percent of housing construction on the territory of the international specialized exhibition EXPO 2017. Chairman of the Board Yerbolat Dossayev has inspected the progress of construction today.

Baiterek through its subsidiary JSC Baiterek Development is investing in the construction of housing and a shopping mall on the territory of EXPO 2017 in Astana.

42 houses with the total area of 107 thousand sq m (1374 apartments) have been built. Outdoor and indoor utilities have been arranged. Interior decoration of apartments has been finished. Finishing of facades and landscaping is underway. The residential estates have parking lots, as well as space for commercial premises. Construction and installation work is carried out on schedule.

During the exhibition apartments will be given for rent to the organizers to accommodate international participants. After the completion of the exhibition housing will be sold under market conditions.

Construction of a 138,000 square meters shopping mall is at the final stage. Setting up supply lines, outdoor and indoor decoration, landscaping is in progress.

Residential estates and the shopping mall are expected to be put into operation on December 1, 2016. 3700 jobs were created within the framework of the construction. After commissioning the facilities 2500 people will get permanent jobs.

Another project financed by JSC Baiterek Development is a business center Aura. This building with the total floor area of 38,086 square meters is located in the vicinity of EXPO 2017. Commissioning is planned for the first quarter of 2018.
