B. Sagintayev visited Karaozek station – construction of a gas pipeline from Kyzylorda to Astana starts in July
Karaozek station is designed to operate in the Beyneu Bozoy Shymkent gas trunkline system in order to ensure a stable supply of natural gas from western groups of fields in Kazakhstan (Karachaganak, Kashagan, Tengiz, Zhanazhol and Urikhtau Gas). The plant’s capacity is 10 billion m3/year, in the future it is planned to increase capacity to 15 billion m3/year.
From the Karaozek compressor station in July this year, the construction of the Saryarka main gas trunkline on the route Kyzylorda Zhezkazgan Karaganda Temirtau Astana will start, which will provide 2.7 million people with natural gas.
For reference: At the first stage it is plannd to build the main gas trunkline along the route Kyzylorda Zhezkazgan Karaganda Astana with the length of 1081 km. At the second stage Astana Kokshetau gas pipeline with a length of 276 km. At the third stage the section Kokshetau Petropavlovsk with a length of 177 km. And in the final stage IV, taking into account the predicted increase in gas consumption from this gas pipeline, the construction of Zhezkazgan and Temirtau compressor stations is expected to increase the throughput capacity of the main gas pipeline to 3 billion m3/year. In order to fill the main gas pipeline and ensure gas supply to consumers, akimats of Karaganda, Akmola regions and Astana city will design and build gas distribution networks with the synchronization of the completion of the gas pipeline by July 2019.
The project will also allow the active development of infrastructure along the main gas pipeline route, create new jobs and productions using natural gas. During the visit, the prospects of development of the road Kyzylorda Zhezkazgan were also considered.
