B.Sagintayev: Obstacles in trade should be dealt in proper way

I would like to note the growth of commodities in general the volume of export of the EEU to the third countries. Around 8 thousand joint plants with the member-countries of the EEU operate in Kazakhstan. I see it as a good indicator and hope for further expansion of the list of joint plants, Bakytzhan Sagintayev said.

We note that the first agreement on establishment of the zone of free trade of the EEU with Vietnam which was signed in May 2015, now shows its efficiency.

We considerably activated the trade with the country by opening of duty-free market access fro commodities from Vietnam. The first positive experience in this direction gives the solid foundation for further trade and economic cooperation with foreign countries. In the last year, the Higher council accepted solutions to start negotiation procedures with the countries, which are more interested for the member-states to sign agreements. They are Iran, India, Singapore, Bakytzhan Saginayev said.

According to him, negotiations on Iran are carried out towards strengthening of positions.

Along with that we should continue the work on establishment of without barrier environment at the internal market of the EEU. A list of obstacles agreed with the sides exists, which includes more than 60 items. The work on preparation of the Road map and elimination is being held. I think that we should consider the Road map during the next session of the Council. The elimination of obstacles in trade should be held in a proper way, we try to eliminate them on paper, the Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan said.

During the session the Head of the Government of Kazakhstan has also noted that time and circumstance keep going, so it is important to continue work in other directions of cooperation, as well as in the digital sphere.
