B. Sagintayev instructs to intensify work on the construction of new schools using per capita funding
Today at a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the consideration of topical issues of the education system in the light of the tasks set in the President’s Address Growing Welfare of Kazakh Citizens: Increase in Income and Quality of Life, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave a number of specific instructions to improve the quality of school, pre-school and higher education.
After hearing the reports of the Minister of Education and Science Y. Sagadiyev, as well as Akims of a number of regions, Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the Head of State indicated in his Address that the parents were concerned about the safety and conditions of children’s education.
In this regard, the Ministry of Education and Science, together with the Akimats, was entrusted to pay special attention to improving the quality of education. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan drew attention to the need to address the issues of three-shift education, the organization of food and drinking water in schools, creating conditions for children with special educational needs, and providing schools with sports halls.
The Ministry of Education and Science has been instructed to intensify work on the construction of new schools using the per capita financing mechanism. And also to establish an operational and clear outreach work on innovations affecting the interests of the majority of schoolchildren, teachers, and parents.
In general, the Education Ministry must precisely fulfill all the tasks set in the draft National Plan for the implementation of the Head of State’s Address.
