B. Sagintayev: By the end of 2020 all remote settlements must be connected to broadband Internet
Today’s Government meeting chaired by Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev covered issues of digitalization of the education sector.
After hearing reports of Minister of Education and Science Y. Sagadiyev, Minister of Information and Communication D. Abayev, as well as a number of regional Akims, Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave a number of specific instructions on the implementation of set tasks.
The Head of State in his Address tasked the Government to further develop digital educational resources. The Digital Kazakhstan Program includes measures aimed at improving the educational process through the use of digital technologies. This is especially important for remote rural areas.
There are certain results of the work being done, � the Prime Minister said, – For the transition to digital technologies, the Ministry of Education and Science needs to ensure the integration of information systems with government agencies in 2018″.
Akims of the regions are instructed to personally monitor the issues of technical equipment of schools and their connection to broadband Internet, Wi-Fi.
Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that by the end of 2020 all remote settlements should be fully connected to broadband Internet. In general, the Ministry of Education and Science together with Akims should continue working on digitalization and ensure the achievement of all targets.
