B.Sagintayev attended a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council

During the meeting, the participants discussed the budget of the Eurasian Economic Union for 2017, the draft Treaty on the Customs Code of the EEU, capacity-building activities of traceability of products in EEU member states, international activities of the Eurasian Economic Commission, as well as a number of organizational issues.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan B. Sagintayev said that a wide range of topical issues of interaction were discussed at the meeting within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and ways of further development of integration association were defined.

Following the results of the meeting, a number of multilateral instruments have been signed. In particular, an agreement on free trade zone was signed with Vietnam. About 40 states have expressed their interest.

It should be reminded that, under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the EEU, the President N.Nazarbayev declared 2016 as the year of deepening the economic relations of the Eurasian Economic Union with third countries and key integration associations.
