Average monthly nominal wage amounted to KZT 149,951

According to the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan, the highest nominal wage in the sectoral structure was registered in the financial and insurance activities – 315,3 thousand tenge (2.1 times higher than the average republican level), 253,2 thousand tenge in the professional, scientific and technical activities (1.7 times higher), in the sphere of information and communication – 222.4 thousand tenge (1.5 times higher), in the sphere of industry – 202.3 thousand tenge (1.3 times higher), in the construction sphere – 184,9 thousand tenge (in 1,2 times higher). The lowest level of nominal wages was recorded in agriculture, forestry and fisheries – 88.3 thousand tenge, 41.1% lower than the average for the country.

In the regional context, the highest nominal wage was recorded in Mangistau region – 253.9 thousand tenge, which is 1.7 times higher than the average republican figure. In Zhambyl region, its value amounted to 103.1 thousand tenge, which is 31.3% lower than the national average.

Let’s note, in accordance with international standards, the average monthly nominal wage of one employee is formed taking into account additional payments, wage premiums, bonuses, as well as taxes and other deductions (income tax, mandatory pension contributions).
