AUCA Innovation College opens
The solemn opening of the Innovation College of the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) was held on Saturday, Oct.26, the press service of the Education Ministry reported.
The College building has been was reconstructed in partnership with Bard College with the support of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
This College is equipped with the latest technology and will use progressive, innovative and experimental approaches in training. New high-quality education requires new architectural solutions, Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanybek Isakov said at the opening ceremony.
We have a big task before us. Kyrgyzstan should become an educational hub for Central Asia. Universities and colleges should reach the international level, develop education exports and educational tourism, the minister said.
204 students from nine countries-Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, the United States, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France will study at the Innovation College.
AUCA Innovation College focuses on computer technology, critical thinking, and skills in handling large volumes of information and solving problems. Training is provided in eight areas in accordance with best international standards and practices.
