Astana to host national seminar on WTO Government Procurement – EBRD
The seminar is held in order to familiarize with the provisions and requirements of the Agreement on Government Procurement of the World Trade Organization and the exchange of experiences, reported the department.
This is due to the entry to the WTO and has assumed a number of obligations, one of which is to obtain observer status for the WTO agreement on government procurement.
Official application of the Republic of Kazakhstan for observer status was approved on October 19, 2016 by unanimous vote within the framework of the next meeting of the WTO Committee on Public Procurement.
The seminar will be attended by representatives of the Bank, the WTO Secretariat, the state bodies, public organizations and business communities.
