Astana to host int’l conference in honor of 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence
Today on the initiative of the Majilis and the Foreign Ministry Astana will host an International Conference.
Conference’s theme is “25 years of Independence of Kazakhstan: Results. Achievements. Prospection”, the press service of the Majilis reported.
The forum will be attended by the parliamentarians and experts from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Poland, Russia, the USA, Turkey, Finland, Germany and Sweden.
Chairman of the Majilis Nurlan Nigmatulin, Minister of Foreign Affairs Yerlan Idrissov are expected to make a speech at the opening of the plenary session.
Within the forum it’s planned to hear Mayor of Astana Asset Issekeshev and Minister of Information and Communications Dauren Abayev.
The conference will be held in three thematic sessions: “The main results of the economic and political reforms in Kazakhstan”; “Kazakhstan is in world politics”; “Kazakhstan: Prospection”.
As part of the conference a presentation of the joint report of the leading experts of the Institute for Security and Development issues (ISDP, Stockholm) and the Institute of Central Asia and the Caucasus at Johns Hopkins University (CACI, Washington) is planned. The theme is “Kazakhstan 2041: Scenarios for the Next 25 Years”.
For summing up the conference Chairman of the Majilis Committee for International Affairs, Defense and Security Maulen Ashimbayev is expected to make a speech.
