Askhat Oralov: “For working youth – an initial installment of 350,000 tenge for an apartment and a rent of about 40 thousand tenge per month”
Starting this year, 1000 rental apartments will be allocated from three cities of the country – in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent.
This is not a one-time action, but a program for 3 years. But this should not give rise to dependency. If a student learns gets a scholarship, if he studies perfectly well – he gets a premium. If he spends his free time on volunteering, takes an active civil position – he will receive a surcharge of 30%. The mechanism is now being developed. If a young man works, the state helps him with housing. According to our criterion, the young person’s age should be up to 29 years old, and he should work, said Askhat Oralov, acting chairman of the Committee on Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Social Development of Kazakhstan. He noted that in many regions there are regional housing programs for young people.
According to Askhat Oralov, literally, a separate housing program for young people was adopted in the Aktobe region last month and the keys to 50 apartments for young families were given out last week.
This year it is planned to reach more than 500 young people in only one region. According to Askhat Oralov, there are very good conditions there – for the working youth, the initial installment for the apartment is 350.000 tenge and the monthly rent is about 40 thousand tenge.
