Askar Mamin: Kazakhstan’s economic growth reached 4%
Having heard the reports of the chairman of the National Bank, the ministers of the national economy, finance, industry and infrastructure development, akims of the regions, Mamin noted the positive dynamics of economic growth.
GDP growth in January-April 2019 amounted to 4% compared to the corresponding period of 2018. The main drivers of the economy were construction, where there was an increase of 8.4%, trade � 7.3%, transport � 4.8%, engineering � 19.8%, including the auto construction � 45.8%, mining of metal ores � 14%, oil refining � 9.1%, and light industries � 27.4%.
It is necessary not only to preserve this dynamic, but also to take measures for the further development of the economy, the prime minister instructed.
The growth of the economy in terms of basic indicators was achieved in the East Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Turkistan, Pavlodar, and Atyrau regions. In turn, Mamin instructed akimats of Mangystau, Akmola regions and the cities of Nur-Sultan and Shymkent to intensify work on increasing the construction, investment, industry and housing construction.
Akimats of the regions, who have allowed a decline, need to go back to the planned indicators, and the leading regions � not to reduce the momentum, said Askar Mamin.
Revenues to the republican budget for the first four months 2019 amounted to 2.1 trillion tenge, the growth rate � 119.4%. The development of the republican budget for the reporting period amounted to 98.3%. In connection with the incomplete execution of the budget, observed by a number of program administrators, the Prime Minister Mamin ordered to strengthen the work and ensure timely disbursement of budget funds.
Summing up the consideration of the issue, the Head of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan emphasized the importance of ensuring stable economic growth.
It is necessary to effectively use all available reserves. To ensure high-quality and full-fledged implementation of the programs Nurly Zhol, Nurly Zher, Industrial and Innovative Development and other sectoral state programs, Mamin instructed, noting that the implementation of these programs will give a serious impetus to the development of the economy.
The central and local government bodies have been instructed to make every effort to accelerate the pace of economic development.
