Askar Mamin, Dmitry Rogozin discuss the development of the Baikonur complex
A meeting between the co-chairmen of the Kazakh-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on the Baikonur Complex – First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin took place on December 19 in Moscow.
In the course of the meeting, the interlocutors exchanged views on cooperation issues and prospects for the further development of the Baikonur complex.
The meeting covered issues of the implementation of the Baiterek project, the Long-Term Development Program for the city of Baikonyr, preparations for the signing of the draft Consolidated Plan for the Implementation of the Concept for Further Cooperation at the Baikonur Complex, financing of the Joint Work Programme on Ensuring Ecological Safety of the Baikonur Cosmodrome, and the management of air traffic at the complex’s airports.
The progress of the project Baiterek Space Rocket Complex was also thoroughly discussed at the meeting.
Following the meeting, A. Mamin and D. Rogozin signed the relevant Protocol.
