Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan celebrated the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2022, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan Ulanbek Totuyaev said at Kyrgyzstan-Pakistan Trade and Investment Forum in Bishkek.
While outlining trade and economic relations between two countries, the Ambassador reminded about opening of the Trade House of Kyrgyzstan in Lahore last year.
The Ambassador took a note of potential of development of trade and economic relations. The Ambassador mentioned prospective construction of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and the possibility of increase of bilateral trade.
“Pakistan with 220 million population is a big market for Kyrgyzstan. Pakistani entrepreneurs together with Kyrgyzstani entrepreneurs can consider possibility of launch of joint ventures for production of dairy and meat products,” Ambassador Totuyaev said.
He also mentioned such promising spheres in Kyrgyzstan as hydropower, tourism, industrial production, CASA-1000 Project.
Kyrgyzstan utilizes its hydropower potential just at 10%, the Ambassador said.
This forum is a good possibility for business circles to establish direct contacts, he said.
