Alikhan Smailov holds meeting of OECD Cooperation Council

First Deputy Prime Minister Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov chaired a meeting of the Council for Cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

First Vice Minister of National Economy Aset Irgaliyev informed about the interaction of Kazakhstan with the OECD, emphasizing that the development of cooperation with the OECD is one of the priorities of the country’s foreign economic policy. He noted that in 2015, the OECD signed the Country Program for three years (2015-2018).

Minister of Justice Marat Beketaev, First Vice Minister of National Economy Aset Irgaliev, First Deputy Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency Olzhas Bektenov reported about new projects with the OECD for 2020-2021. In turn, the Head of the Eurasia Division of the OECD Global Relations Secretariat William Tompson informed about the results and plans for further cooperation between Kazakhstan and the OECD.
