AIR COMPANIES OF KAZAKHSTAN AND TAJIKISTAN HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF FLIGHTS BETWEEN THE TWO COUNTRIES
Civil Aviation Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies continues work on expansion of air communication with foreign countries. By the instruction of the Heads of State, bilateral negotiations of representatives of aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan were held in Dushanbe. The representatives of Air Astana, SCAT, Tajik Air and Somon Air also participated in the event.
According to the results of the negotiations, the Protocol will be signed and air companies of the two countries will receive flights from 18 to 32 flights a week, in particular, to Almaty Dushanbe up to 12 flights, to Astana Dushanbe up to 6 flights a week, Taraz, and Dushanbe, Khujand, KurganTube, Kulob, to 14 flights per week.
Thus, the legal basis for the implementation of 32 flights per week was established between the two countries. In addition, the designated airlines of the two countries have the opportunity to create commercial agreements (coadministration, chairs, etc.) between themselves and thirdcountry air carriers. The issue of opening direct flights between regional airports of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan is being considered for the development of transit passenger transportation through the country. Based on the agreements reached, Kazakhstan air carriers are planning to increase the number of regular flights between Astana, Almaty and Dushanbe in springsummer 2019.
