About 100 events planned within frame of Cross Year of Kyrgyzstan and Russia
About 100 political, economic, cultural and humanitarian events are planned within the framework of the Cross Year of Kyrgyzstan in Russia and Russia in Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev said at the meeting with the participation of heads of the country’s state bodies.
Abylgaziev noted in 2019 state visits of Russian, Chinese, Kazakh leaders took place in Kyrgyzstan, as well as official visits of heads of Government of India, Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan.
A meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, as well as a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council were successfully held. A Donor Conference was organized, and for the first time in history, the Kyrgyz Republic has become a member of the UNESCO Executive Council until 2023.
“2020 is the cross year of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation and the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic. About 100 political, economic, cultural and humanitarian events are planned as part of it. This will have an impact on development in such areas as investment, tourism, culture and education. At the same time, the Foreign Ministry should actively pursue economic diplomacy. Protecting the interests of our migrant workers, improving the conditions of social protection, pensions and other issues are the Government’s priorities,” said Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev.
According to the prime minister, this year the republic will participate in the World EXPO 2020 Dubai exhibition, in this regard, there is need to work out this issue in detail.
