A single online library to be created in Kazakhstan
The entire book fund of Kazakhstan will be digitalized, creating a single online library. This was announced by Minister of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly at the opening ceremony of the festival Rukhani Kazyna.
The work on the modernization of libraries is already yielding results. Today, the number of libraries with access to the Internet is increasing, the book fund is being updated, and work is being done to digitalize the book fund. We want to work with the Nur Otan Party to transform our libraries into modern Knowledge Centers and modernize them. As a result, we will form a single network of online libraries, the entire book fund of the country will be digitized, � Arystanbek Mukhamediuly said.
According to him, in seven regions of Kazakhstan: Aktobe, Zhambyl, Pavlodar, Almaty and East Kazakhstan regions new museums will open, as well three new libraries will open in Zhambyl, South-Kazakhstan, and Aktobe regions. In addition, libraries in 15 regions will be updated in accordance with new standards.
Recall, as part of celebrating the Day of Day of Workers of Culture and Art, Astana is hosting the I Festival of organizations and workers of culture and art Rukhani Kazyna � 2018.
