A meeting on the development of Kazakhstan’s tourism industry takes place in Ukimet Uyi
Today in Ukimet Uyi, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a meeting on the development of the State Program for the development of Kazakhstan’s tourism industry.
During the meeting, the most important aspects of the development of the tourism industry were discussed and measures of state support for tourism activities were considered.
Minister of Culture and Sport Arystanbek Mukhamediuly presented the draft Tourism Development Roadmap.
The draft Roadmap includes 62 tourist destinations and facilities, of which 46 are operational and 16 new ones. The basic selection criteria were the potential increase in the volume of tourist flow and the uniqueness of sites as a tourist magnet for the whole country. Historical and cultural significance of the proposed sites was taken into account, for example, monuments recognized by UNESCO or included in the list of sites of the Great Silk Road, as well as sacred sites of national importance related to Rukhani Zhanghyru.
