89% of microcredits applied in agricultural development
89% of 6,834 microcredits accommodated in 2016 are applied in agriculture, Minister of Health and Social Development Tamara Duissenova informed during the governmental hour in the Mazhilis of the Parliament.
As T.Duissenova noted, 30.8 billion tenge is allocated in total on microcredit in 2016.
Past experience shows that program participants mostly apply the microcredits in agriculture (79%), in particular, in livestock farming the most affordable business for the villagers.
In this regard, we increased the amount of microcredits to 6 million tenge to stimulate merging into the agricultural cooperatives and creation of small-scale production on the basis of personal husbandry of association members. The cooperation will help them to jointly address the issues of feed and sales of products and thus create additional jobs for the villagers. 10 billion tenge from the total amount has been allocated for these purposes, T.Duissenova said.
It is worth noting that it is planned this year to provide 9,000 people with microcredits, additionally creating 12,000 jobs.
