360 world industrial companies presented their products at exhibitions in Almaty
Six international exhibitions – WorldFood Kazakhstan 2016, AgroWorld Kazakhstan 2016, KazUpack Kazakhstan 2016, Coldchain Kazakhstan 2016, HOREX 2016 and CleanExpo Kazakhstan 2016 – are currently underway at the Atakent Exhibition Center in Almaty city.
“Food industry of Almaty city accounts for 6% of gross regional product or 560 billion tenge per year and commensurate with the economic output of such large regions as Aktobe and South Kazakhstan regions”, Deputy Mayor of Almaty Yerlan Aukenov said.
More than 30 manufacturers of Kazakhstan present the assortment of new items, products already proven in the domestic market and export products in the following areas: meat and fish products, sausages, confectionery products, canned fruits and vegetables, groceries, ingredients, additives, packaging. Every year WorldFood Kazakhstan and AgroWorld Kazakhstan make a great contribution to both city’s economy and Kazakhstan as a whole.
“We import products totaling 10 billion dollars, food products costs 1.5 billion of the sum. Historically, we have the ability to produce products such as fruits and vegetables. We have land in the industrial zone, there are all necessary conditions in Almaty and I urge the company to open new one”, Ye. Aukenov summed up in his speech.
The manufacturers from 31 countries have presented the products and services at the largest Central Asian exhibitions. The event was attended by over 360 companies. It is important to note that one of the countries representing the national stand at the exhibitions – Hungary is interested in expanding cooperation in the food industry with Kazakhstan.
“The preparatory work, aimed at achieving this goal, has already started at the expert level”, Ambassador of Hungary Andras Barani said.
In addition, the exhibitions contribute to the development of the entrepreneurship, the food industry, the agricultural sector. The local content companies present their products, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the Kazakhstani market. So, thanks to the exhibition Horex participants get the opportunity to introduce new products to hotels and restaurants, thereby improving the service of Almaty, especially on the eve of “Universiade 2017” and EXPO-2017.
