Kyrgyzstan, Russia’s Ural intend to expand cooperation in tourism

Kyrgyzstan and Ural Region of Russia plan to expand cooperation in the field of tourism, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported Thursday.

Consul General of Kyrgyzstan in Yekaterinburg Ruslan Biybosunov and President of the Ural Tourism Association Mikhail Maltsev held a meeting.

Biybosunov expressed gratitude for the active cooperation in tourism, highlighting the mutual participation of delegations in the international tourism exhibition LETO-2021 in Yekaterinburg and Issyk-Kul ITF – 2021 “I AM NOMAD” in Cholpon-Ata, the revival of tourism exchange last year. The consul general proposed to continue active interaction this year.

Maltsev shared his views on the development of the international tourism industry in the context of the spread of coronavirus, spoke about the ongoing work of the Ural Tourism Association and upcoming events.

During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on the adoption of additional measures, the implementation of joint activities to further expand cooperation in tourism and increase the tourist flow between Kyrgyzstan and Russia’s Ural.

285 presidential decrees since 1991 ceased to be effective: Justice Ministry

285 presidential decrees and 2,875 government resolutions since 1991 ceased to be effective, First Deputy Minister of Justice of Kyrgyzstan Zarema Askarova told reporters.

She added that last year, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov set a clear task for the government to conduct a large-scale inventory of all laws and bylaws, as well as decrees and resolutions in order to optimize and improve the operation of laws.

“In order to implement the task set by the president, an interdepartmental working group was created, which also included representatives of civil society, the business community, and experts. The working group studied in detail each law, decree, and bylaws. For the purpose of more informative work and professional approach, the Ministry of Justice developed manuals for the working group participants,” Askarova noted.

The deputy minister added that a full inventory of laws, decrees, ordinances and other regulatory legal acts identified 285 presidential decrees and 2,875 government resolutions as outdated and expired.

Kyrgyzstan plans to purchase agricultural machinery worth KGS 2.5B

The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan plans to purchase special equipment for KGS 2.5 billion, Minister Askarbek Dzhanybekov said during a briefing in Bishkek.

The minister of agriculture added that a program is being prepared to mobilize local communities to carry out repair and rehabilitation work on on-farm canals.

“That is, today we initiate assignment of plots to collectives of regional organizations, also we conduct work among population on preparation of on-farm network vegetation,” Dzhanybekov said.

Besides, documents for purchase of agricultural machinery for KGS 2.5 billion in water sector are being prepared.

The official noted that this will give each regional water management administration an opportunity to carry out overhaul of irrigation networks on their own, without hiring anyone.

In Kyrgyzstan, irrigation season to start early this year

This year, the irrigation season will start early in all regions of Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Agriculture of the country Askarbek Dzhanybekov said during a briefing on Thursday.

He noted that experts are already calculating from which sources and on which on-farm and inter-farm canals water can be supplied now.

“If precipitation is also low, we will have to soak the bottom of the canal first of all. In addition, there is almost no snow on our fields, so we must carry out this work wherever moisture irrigation is needed,” the agriculture minister said.

Dzhanybekov stressed that such a task was set to all representatives of local authorities.

Bishkek police reported about bomb in Asia Mall shopping center

Today, at about 15:31, an anonymous message was received about a planted bomb in the building of the Asia Mall shopping and entertainment center in Bishkek, the press service of the Leninsky District Internal Affairs Directorate said.

An investigative-operational group, the leadership of the Leninsky district police department and the Bishkek city police department immediately left for the place of the call.

In order to ensure the safety and evacuation of citizens, the territory of the building was cordoned off by policemen, and employees of the State Committee for National Security also arrived. Relevant search and verification activities are underway.

Stabilization Fund of Turkmenistan to allocate funds for development of horse breeding

The Stabilization Fund of Turkmenistan will allocate funds to the State Association “Turkmen atlary” (“Turkmen horses”) for further modernization of equestrian centres, improvement of conditions for breeding horses, improvement and development of equestrian sports and horse breeding art, and improvement of living conditions of horse breeders. The corresponding Decree was signed today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, announced the news program “Watan” of the Turkmen television, Turkmenportal reported.

The amount of allocated funds is not informed.

Let us remind you, that the Stabilization Fund in Turkmenistan was established in 2008 in order to avoid the negative impact on the national economy of the global economic and financial crisis and reduce the dependence of the country’s economy on the fuel and energy complex.

As previously reported, the means of the fund will be directed to the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan, allocated in the form of transfers for the implementation of various budget programs, the introduction of modern technologies and the latest equipment.

It should be noted, that Turkmenistan pays increased attention to the breeding of horses, equestrian sports. In all regions of the country, equestrian sports complexes that meet world standards were built and put into operation, sculptural compositions of the famous “Polatly” and “Yanardag” horses were erected. Ahal-Teke horses, which are the elite among the horses of the whole world, are considered one of the national treasures, the heritage of the people.

On the last Sunday of April, Turkmenistan celebrates the Day of the Ahal-Teke Horse. On this day, festive races with a solid cash prize, exhibitions dedicated to Ahal-Teke horses, equestrian sports shows, and concerts are held.

Bishkek interested in Mongolia’s experience of fighting smog

Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev met with Ambassador of Mongolia to Kyrgyzstan Ganhuyag Sodnom, the press service of the capital city’s mayor’s office said.

During the meeting the sides discussed the possibility of exchanging experience between the mayor’s offices of the cities of Bishkek and Ulaanbaatar.

The mayor of the capital outlined the importance of developing mutually beneficial cooperation, in particular, Bishkek is interested in the experience of fighting smog in the capital of Mongolia, in turn, Ulaanbaator is ready to adopt greening technologies of Bishkek in urban conditions.

The municipality has already prepared a draft agreement for cooperation between the capitals of the two states.
