2021 ASIAN YOUTH PARA GAMES TO BE HELD IN BAHRAIN
The Asian Paralympic Committee announced that the IV Asian Youth Para Games will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from December 1 to 10, 2021, Strategy2050.kz reports.
The event was co-organized with the National Paralympic Committee of Bahrain with support of the local government. 800 athletes under the age of 20 years will be expected to participate in nine disciplines: athletics, badminton, boccia, goalball, para taekwondo, powerlifting, swimming, table tennis and wheelchair basketball.
The Kingdom of Bahrain will hold such a massive Paralympic event for the first time.
It is planned that 30 athletes from Kazakhstan will take part in 6 disciplines: athletics, swimming, powerlifting, table tennis, taekwondo, goalball.
It is worth noting that the past Asian Youth Para Games were held in 2017 in Dubai. According to the results of the competition, the athletes from Kazakhstan brought 13 medals.
