2017 to see construction and renovation of 4 thousand kilometers of roads through the “Nurly Zhol” state program
In Astana the Government meeting is chaired by Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev on the results of implementing the Nurly Zhol state program in 2016 and planned work for the coming year.
The Minister of Investments and Development Zhenis Kassymbek reported that in years 2017-2019 it is planned to implement 23 projects in the field of road construction stretching 4.4 thousand kilometers and costing 1.7 trillion tenge.
Through allocation of funds work will continue on 7 carryover projects: Astana � Karaganda, Center � East, Beineu � Aktau, Center � West, Kapshagay � Taldykorgan, Astana � Petropavlovsk and Uralsk � Kamenka, where it is planned to complete 602 km of roads within the year.
Through allocations from the budget it is planned to begin 8 projects with a total stretch of 1 thousand kilometers. Funding of 8 more projects stretching 2184 kilometers is provided through loans from international financial institutions.
Overall, within this year it is planned to construct and renovate 4.4 thousand km of roads engaging about 100 thousand people.
In addition, the state program provides for housing issues. In 2016 for the development of housing and infrastructure 400 billion tenge was allocated for construction of rental, credit and commercial property, engineering-communications infrastructure and lending to depositors of HCSBK.
As a result, in 2016 housing was provided to 8.3 thousand families (478 thousand square meters) and by the end of 2017 through the expense of these funds 33.8 thousand families will additionally be provided with housing. In the future, these issues will be resolved through the Nurly Zher state program.
