1386 apartments will be built in Astana in the next five years for residents of unfit houses
In the period from 2017 to 2022 as part of a pilot project implementation for the demolition of dilapidated housing in Astana will introduce 635 thousand square meters of housing, it is more than 10 thousand apartments.
Of the total amount of housing it is planned to transfer to communal ownership of 1386 apartments with the area of 63 thousand sq. m of housing free of charge for the resettlement of owners of unfit housing. Reinvestment of the pilot project is planned to be achieved through the sale of 8010 apartments of 408 thousand sq. m on the open market.
This was announced today at the meeting of Asset Issekeshev, city Akim, with construction companies on the development of housing construction.
In the framework of a pilot project for the demolition of dilapidated housing it is planned to demolish 111 house building until the end of 2017 by the housing department of capital city.
Total from 2013 to the end of 2017 it is scheduled to demolish 228 unfit housing constructions (3361 apartments) with a high percentage of depreciation of fixed building structures and engineering systems, building year of which is ranging from 1940 to 1970. These are houses where further accommodation poses a real threat to human life or health.
Today 117 residents of unfit houses (1555 apartments) have been already resettled to the new comfortable apartments.
Residents of the remaining 111 unfit houses, relocation of whom will be made before the end of 2017, had been notified about the planned timing of the relocation.
“For 19 years, about 17 million square meters of housing was put into operation in Astana. In the current year, we plan to hand over more than 2 million sq.m. Such a rate of annual increase in housing construction are preserved thanks to the implementation of state support programs under the orders of the Head of State to provide public housing. We have studied the experience of the development of global cities in the world and developed a comprehensive vision of the future prospects and ways to implement them in the main program document of the city. Long-term development of the city is considered in conjunction with environmentally friendly technologies and harmonious arrangement of public spaces”- said Asset Issekeshev, Akim of Astana city.
