1.2 BILLION TENGE FUNNELED INTO SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL SPHERE IN JANUARY
1.2 billion tenge has been invested in the scientific and technical sphere in January, which is significantly less compared to the figure in the year before, Strategy2050.kz report with reference to Finprom.kz.
As for investments in science more than 60% of capital investments in the field of professional, scientific and technical activities have been seen in three regions of the country in January. 87% of investments in the sector have been accounted for the funds of business.
In January 2020, funds in the amount of 1.18 billion tenge have been invested in professional, scientific and technical activities, compared to 1.31 billion tenge in January 2018 (the volume index 87.1%).
The share of investments, same as the year before, stands at only 0.2% of the total volume of capital investments in Kazakhstan.
In general, according to the results of January December 2019, 71.38 billion tenge (0.6% of the total volume of capital investments in Kazakhstan) was poured into the sector, against 43.24 billion tenge in the same period of 2018.
Among the regions, most capital investments are found in Atyrau region (422 million tenge, 5 times more than in the same period a year earlier), Kyzylorda region (168.4 million tenge, last year there were no investments in this region in January) and Almaty (128.5 million tenge, 2.1 times less than in January 2018).
86.8% of capital investments in professional, scientific and technical activities come from own funds; the local budget only 2.8%, other borrowed funds accounted for another 10.4%. January of 2018 saw 92.5% of capital investments provided with own funds.
