The Fifth Week of Turkish Film will open in the Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy reported Friday.
On Oct. 16-20, the Turkish Film Week will feature films: Miracle in Cell No. 7, Basketball Ring, Mauser, Life of Love, and cartoon Madiri Heads: Navel Hill. All film screenings will be free.
After the film screenings, viewers will have an opportunity to meet actors of the films. Also during the event, directors, actors and producers from Turkey will meet with Kyrgyz film actors, as well as bilateral talks on the creation of joint works.
The purpose of Turkish Film Week is to build another bridge between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, based on the power of cinema, to present the award-winning works of professional directors, as well as popular films.
