As of 11 a.m. on Oct. 26, the total number of people poisoned in Pizza Empire café has reached 179, including 18 children, the press service of the Kyrgyz Health Ministry said Tuesday.
Inpatient care is being provided to 50 people.
“Doctors assess their condition as stable. The rest of the people injured were sent to outpatient treatment at their place of residence after receiving medical care,” the report said.
Mass food poisoning has occurred in the popular cafe chain Pizza Empire in Kyrgyzstan’s capital on Oct. 23.
In the course of the epidemiological investigation, it was found that the victims had eaten rolls at Pizza Empire cafes located in four different parts of Bishkek.
In connection with the latest case of mass food poisoning in Bishkek, specialists from the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Centers will inspect food outlets throughout the country.
