As part of an official visit to Hungary, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbayev, together with the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, took part in an event at the CCTS office in Budapest, dedicated to the Day of Cooperation of Turkic-speaking States.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the event was organized by the head of the CCTS in Hungary, Janos Howari, with the invitation of the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Hungary, the NWP of Hungary in the Kyrgyz Republic of Sh. Dorogi, as well as scientists and experts in Turkic studies.

In his speech, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic congratulated the CCTS office in Hungary on the Day of Cooperation of the Turkic-speaking States. Kazakbayev noted that the Turkic Council today is a dynamically developing international organization that unites fraternal states and peoples, since ancient times linked by historical, cultural, religious community and linguistic kinship. He noted the importance of further development of cooperation within the CCTS in all areas of interaction.

Kazakbayev especially noted that during the upcoming 8th Summit of the Heads of the Turkic-speaking states, which will be held on November 12, 2021 in Istanbul, the Turkic Council will be transformed into the Organization of Turkic States. He expressed confidence that the change in the name of the Turkic Council will contribute to the improvement of the organization’s activities and increase its authority in the international arena.

Kazakbayev also wished success in the activities of the CCTS office in Hungary. He especially noted that Kyrgyzstan fully supports Hungary in its striving for integration into the organization of Turkic cooperation. The Minister expressed the hope that the activities of the Representation of the Turkic Council in Budapest will open up new opportunities for promoting the interests of the Turkic Council in the European space.
