As part of the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbayev to Hungary, a tree-planting ceremony was held in the park named after Chyngyz Aitmatov in Budapest the day before, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The ceremony was attended by Ruslan Kazakbayev, Deputy State Secretary of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry Andras Barani, as well as representatives of the mayor’s office of the 14th Zuglo district of Budapest, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary Endre Erdos.
During the tree-planting ceremony in the park named after Ch.Aitmatov, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic again expressed gratitude to the Hungarian side for the assistance and naming of Ch.Aitmatov in the park in Budapest, respect for the memory of the great Kyrgyz writer.
Kazakbayev also discussed with the Hungarian side the issue of establishing in the near future a monument to Ch. Aitmatov in the park named after him, as well as plans for further ennobling of the park.
