BAKU: Energy, transportation, tourism, and agribusiness are among the promising areas of cooperation between Qatar and Azerbaijan, the Undersecretary of Ministry of Commerce and Industry Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki said during the second Azerbaijan-Gulf Cooperation Council economic forum, Trend reports.
He spoke in favor of expanding cooperation aimed at increasing the well-being of the people in Azerbaijan and the Persian Gulf countries.
Hassan Al Malki expressed confidence that this forum in Baku will open new opportunities for cooperation in the mentioned sectors.
‘This negotiation platform will not only stabilize our partnership but also increase it many times. I am confident that the agreements to be reached during the negotiations in Baku will increase the level of our trade with Azerbaijan,’ the undersecretary said.
The second Azerbaijan-Gulf Cooperation Council economic forum has started its work in Baku.
In the course of the forum, panel discussions are held on ‘Cooperation on renewable energy
sources, clean energy, electricity, and water projects’, ‘Challenges and opportunities in the sectors of transportation and logistics between Azerbaijan and the Persian Gulf countries’, ‘Strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the Persian Gulf countries on agriculture, food security, and food industry’.
