Baku: President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the mutual support between Azerbaijan and China regarding sovereignty and territorial integrity. During an interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN), he highlighted the extensive agenda outlined in the Joint Declaration on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People’s Republic of China. He noted the solidarity and friendship that exist between the two countries on national interest issues and expressed strong support for each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, including the ‘One China’ policy.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev also mentioned Azerbaijan’s stance on Taiwan, stating that Azerbaijan was among the first to publicly denounce illegal elections there. The Joint Declaration between Azerbaijan and China covers a wide range of topics, including trade, transportation, people-to-people contacts, humanitarian partnerships, and joint initiatives.
