Possibility of recognizing vaccination certificates issued by Kyrgyz health authorities discussed in Brussels

Within the framework of the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev to Brussels, on Sept. 28, a meeting was held with the Commissioner for Crisis Management of the European Commission Janez Lenarcic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the socio-political situation in the Central Asian region and the situation in Afghanistan.

Kazakbaev expressed gratitude to the EU for providing emergency aid within the framework of the joint EU “Team Europe” package in the amount of EUR 43.8 million.

The sides also separately discussed the epidemiological situation in the Kyrgyz Republic in connection with the spread of COVID-19 and the process of vaccination of the population through the capabilities of the COVAX Global Mechanism, as well as the possibility of recognizing vaccination certificates issued by the health authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic.
