The Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliyev spoke about the oil production profile of the Mangystau region, Kazinform agency reports .

“The Ministry of Energy has prepared a profile of oil production in the Mangystau region. As you can see on the slide, oil production will be stable over the next five years. However, then there may be a slight decline in production from 2025, ”Magzum Mirzagaliyev said at a meeting of the Government.

At the same time, the minister stressed, the Mangistau region has significant potential for the growth of both oil and gas production.

“Thanks to the launch of new offshore projects, namely the development of the Khazar and Kalamkas-Sea fields, from 2028 it is planned to increase oil production to 19.5 million tons,” concluded the head of the Ministry of Energy.

Earlier M. Mirzagaliev announced plans to increase oil production in the coming years. “According to the Comprehensive Plan of Socio-Economic Development of the Mangystau Region for 2021 – 2025, the Ministry of Energy is responsible for the implementation of a number of measures,” the minister said.
