On the morning of Oct. 26, the total number of people who were poisoned in Pizza Empire chain of cafes reached 155 people, head of the food hygiene department of the Central State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service Makhamat Murzashev told Kabar Agency.
He said that last night, the total number of poisoned people was 131 people, another 24 patients asked for medical help during the night.
“A total of 28 people were hospitalized, including 12 children, another child is on outpatient treatment,” Murzashev said.
Mass food poisoning has occurred in the popular cafe chain Pizza Empire in Kyrgyzstan’s capital on Oct. 23.
In the course of the epidemiological investigation, it was found that the victims had eaten rolls at Pizza Empire cafes located in four different parts of Bishkek.
In connection with the latest case of mass food poisoning in Bishkek, specialists from the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision Centers will inspect food outlets throughout the country.
